Does slavery still occur in the st century?If so, where?
I heard from my professor that slavery is still occuring in some parts of the world.
Answer
Modernday slaves can be found laboring as servants or concubines in Sudan, as child quotcarpet slavesquot in India, or as canecutters in Haiti and southern Pakistan, to name but a few instances. According to AntiSlavery International, the worlds oldest human rights organization, there are currently over million people in bondage.
